ebay headlights, are these any good?

They look awesome, my buddy did something like this on his h3. It was a pain with all of the wiring, but im not worried about it. I just like the projector lens look and I want something really bright. .... like really bright. Something that kinda competes with all of these new fancy european luxury car setups.

The wiring on that is completely plug and play. Don't know what your friend had such a hard time putting them in his h3. I've seen those housing before on in other package deals but don't how well they aim or what the pattern is on them. A lot of people just buy hella e-codes and ddm hids.

Also a hid with a kelvin rating of 8000k would be super blue and make it hard to see at night. You usually want to stay in the 4500k-6000k range since those are the whitest and most natural coloring.

Here's a chart about the kelvin ratings.

The reason they're ugly is because they are "projector" lens that are suppose to be made for hids but they are just crap built in a garage ebay item. Alot of the hid kits on ebay are made in garages and aren't always the best. There are a lot more places to buy better quality hids.

They are very bright. Especially if you get the 55w ballast. About 30-40% brighter than 35w ballast. But if you do 55w you want to go one or two kelvin ratings up since the higher watts washout the coloring a little so a 6000k will look more like 4500k.

I know what they are. I have cheap ebay projectors in my Jeep. They suck. But they aren't all black. Now xentec hids off ebay aren't that bad.
