Edge Trail Jammer Products

Hello All!

Has anyone had any experience with the Edge Products Trail Jammer throttle body and Module? Their HP Claims are both significant and seem to be validated by various reviewers..

So, anyone have anything to report on this? I already have a cold air intake from AEM, so I will not need the Edge intake.

Thanks

That kit has a different Throttle Body, not intake system like you would have gotten from AEM.

yeah, I already have an AEM brute force, Banks Torque Tube Header, and Banks Monster Exhaust, but was considering adding the Edge module and larger throttle body, but worry about it not making that much of an improvement for another $400..

There is a report that with the Module and throttle body a 4" lifted wrangler was seeing 19mpg on the highway and 16 in the city.. I am lucky to see 14mpg on the highway 12 in the city.. I don't keep real good track of that though..

I don't know what most people are getting for mileage, but I have a thorley header, K&N intake and flowmaster exhaust. 3.73 gearing with 33's and I get 16 around town and 18-20 on trips. Thats cruising at 75-80 in 5th gear.

No I don't have experience with that exact product, but you can get your throttle body bored out or buy a bored out throttle body on ebay for much less, but still get the performance gain of the 62MM throttle body. I recently helped a buddy of mine install one on his YJ. The throttle bodies are between $60-$80 (some require a core charge) and are rebuilt, then bored out OEM throttle bodies. The one we got was very well done and had none of the whistle that you get with the after market throttle bodies.

Programmers are VERY over priced for the very debatable gains. I had a Jet Performance chip in my 97 and I noticed absolutely no difference. I know this is again a different product but they both are advertised to basically do the same thing.

Do some research and you can find some pretty good deals out there, just don't be too quick to pony up the big cash for the hyped up names.

I personally will buy a bored out throttle body later on but will forget about the chips and programmers, they have there place in the auto world, but just not in Jeeps. I won't make that mistake again
