Estimate on mechanical work

This is my first post on Wrangler forums!

Anyway, my wife owns a 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara and we both love it. It has about 100,000 miles on it and still running pretty good. Since i have no idea about mechanical work on engines etc, i was wondering if anyone could give me a price range around what this work could cost at a shop. The shop i was planning on taking it to charges around 70 /hour for mechanical work so here we go...

- Needs the serpentine belt replaced.
- Valve tapping. (sounds like oil is low, but it is fine)

Now the valve tapping worries me because i figured that could get kind of pricey. I'm here asking you guys because i didn't want to put it in the shop and have to come up with alot of money to get it back, and i also haven't found time to stop in and get an estimate yet.

Thanks guys!

70 bucks for an hours worth of labor to install the belt(which you should do yourself) and adjust the valves. Both are pretty simple.
