Though admittedly rare, I do recall one bead I helped to reseat a couple years ago was an inside bead. It was memorable only because it was an inside bead. That said, my beadlocks only hold the outside bead but I'm not the least bit worried about unseating an inner bead.

I never lost a bead with my old champions either. Just wondering if 're-centering H1s had any value other than hey look what I have

double bead locks don't burp air or suck in dirt and mud. You can also drive on a flat to get off the trail with no worry about the tire falling off the rim. The military only uses double bead locks (some with run flat inserts) for a reason. When the 'ish hits the fan, you gotta be able to get out of there. I got double bead locks for those reasons, and I liked the style of the wheels better than other single bead lock wheels. Sure it's overkill, but overkill is good when it comes to getting off the trail and not having to ever mess with a bead on the trail.
