Exhaust Systems

I'm thinking about replacing my exhaust system, and I have been considering the Borla. Does anybody have any suggestions on this, and how much does replacing the exaust system generally cost? Thanks for your help...

Matt

I got a local shop fab one with a cherry bomb one chamber off road muffler for $300. It might be cheaper and easier for you to just go to a muffler shop.

Look at Quadratec, they have about any bolt on system they make. But like Kilcrease said you might save some money at a local shop.

If this is just your typical cherry bomb...thats pricey. Cherry bombs cost all of like 30 dollars from your local autozone.

I have the the Banks monster cat back on my jeep and love it...my buddies and I did the install ourselves so I cant tell you how much putting one in is gonna cost you.

Well the muffler itself was like 80 which was a little overcharged but the rest was between the piping and the labor they charged.

I'm sure that it will do better than the stock exhaust that's for sure. Most of the aftermarket exhaust use piping a 1/2 inch to an inch bigger than stock, that will allow more emissions to exit the vehicle quicker, then allowing more power to you, so I would say more HP and less MPG if you have a heavy foot, and more MPG if you take it nice and easy.
