I have the flowmaster 40 and it sounds pretty good, it doesn't sound ricey or high pitched at all. I've had a couple people (not so automotive savvy people, but people none the less) ask me if I have a V8.

I've got a hushpower muffler and it sounds sweet at idle and lower rpms but it just gets down right annoying at higher rpms usually. It doesnt sound ricey at all but its extremely loud and obnoxious. I had a magna flow muffler and that sounded pretty good but not as throaty. One of my jeeps came with a cherry bomb exhaust and that just sounded like a pack of angry bee's was stuck in my exhaust, complete trash. MY favorite muffler so far has been the Flowmaster 40 I had though. That thing sounded great at all rpms and wasnt annoying like the others. All my exhaust systems I have always done in 2 1/2".

Without a Jeep for now...

i put a flow master 40 series on mine with a random tech high flow rear cat. sounds awesome. at first i thought it was too loud but after having it for a week it sounds great. sometimes on a very rare occasion some dumbass says it sounds like a 350 and they want to see under my hood. just a plain jane 4.0 with a k&n filter.
