factory fog lamp circuit

I figured out from my build sheet that my tj came with factory fog lights and the circuit is intact. It looks like the PO snipped the wires by the turn signals. Anyways what kind of wattage can the factory circuit handle? Im gonna slap some cheapo 55w fog lights on for now but I evenually would like to put some beefier ones on. Also, my fog light relay is under the hood, which pin do i need to eliminate on the relay to make it so i can run the lights with the high beams on? Im electrically inclined and im thinking its the bottom right pin if your looking at it from the passenger side. The way it is in there though i think id have to cut the pin to fit it back in so i wanna know for sure before i do it.

55 Watts is MAX for factory Harness, Higher you need to install another Relay system,
larger gauge wire to the Fogs, and you can go much higher.

For your relay conversion to run Fogs all the time, do this >
  • While looking at the 5 pins of the relay, bend ONLY the upper left pin (Pin #2 in the FSM) . Leave the other four pins alone.
  • Put the relay back in place and close up the fuse box, YOU'RE DONE!
