FActory Spring Height

I know mounted, factory spring heights are 12" front and 8" rear.
Anyone know height of factory TJ springs sitting on a shop floor??

Have they changed since late 90's..... except for the Rubicon?

RJ

It might depend on which engine, top, transmission, Rubicon or not, due to differences in weight. I measured my old stock OEM springs after replacing them with H&R +1" springs.

Here is a link to the thread with the measurements.

Thanks, but springs for 2.5 will be very different than for 4.0L.

I've been meaning to do this for you. For a 2003 4.0 non rubicon:

Front: 17 Inches

Rear: 12 Inches

This measurement is from the floor to the top of the spring.

No difference for a 2006 TJ Rubicon:

Front: 17" Spring tag 129AB
Rear: 12" Spring tag 105AA

Your estimate based on the provided measurement of the stock springs may be close, or nowhere near close. Depending on the type of spring, spring rate, etc. it could be very different from what you measure. Best bet would be to either contact the company who made them and ask for more details if possible, or just install them.

Just an FYI.
