factory steps

Iam trying too put my steps back on and the incerts in the frame are turning and i can't get the bolts out. I tried too use a punch to indent the incert on the sides into the frame, didn't work any help would be great. My wife is tired of climbing in. Please help

drill and tap the holes in the frame to re-mount them

factory steps

won't work, the step bolts are in frame. I put them there so i wouldn't lose them, Now i need too put the steps back on the incert turns when i try to back out the bolt. Even if i cut off the bolt heads the incert would turn when drilling.

Can you have someone will a little welding skills...put a small tack weld on the nutsert to keep it from spinning.
