My hardtop from my 97 is showing its age. The black is starting to fade pretty bad. I have tried the mguires black plastic restorer. It looked GREAT for a week or 2 but just ended up fading again. Does anyone have any ways to maybe paint or keep my hardtop looking newer?
No problem, when my YJ's hardtop started showing its age I just bought some of the roll on bedliner and did the hardtop and the interior underneath the carpet while I was at it.
Penetrol has worked great for me! Some say not to use it if you plan on painting it but its worked great. It's been about 8 months and it still looks good, granted the tops been in storage for the summer. Here is half untreated half treated
