Here's one that I made for mine not too long ago. I've censored it to make sure I wouldn't run afoul of the forum's solicitation rules, but you get the idea.

Trim out a template, use spray adhesive to adhere the template to a vinyl tire cover, and use Krylon Fusion or an equivalent paint that's specially formulated to etch into plastic. Viola!

I'm in the market for a 31" tire cover and it looks like I might be designing my own. A couple questions first; 1) Who makes the best, longest lasting tire covers and 2) what kind of paint (or other materials) are people using when putting on their own design?

Looking good people!!

Been debating on whether to take the spare completely off, which I think looks kind of goofy so don't ask me why I'm thinking of it, or getting a cover. Haven't gotten around to doing either yet though!

Only reason I've been thinking of taking spare off is a guy down the road with a Jeep says water/moisture collects back then and will rust out the panel. Mine doesn't look at all rusted, chipped or blistered. Does water collect back there and wreck havoc?

The one that I designed is a garden variety vinyl cover that I got from our local Farm 'n Fleet for about $16. I'm expecting it to last a few years.

I also have the stencil that I made stored in a safe place just in case I decide to either make a replacement or increase my tire diameter and thus have to make a new one anyway.

As far as other materials, I used Krylon's Fusion paint (designed to adhere to plastic), and it seems to be working well so far.

I know I'm reviving an old thread but I finally did mine. Keep in mind that I've been out of the art scene for years and I can't remember the last time I drew a picture. It sure was nice to draw and be creative again. Anyway, here it is. I'm a little concerned because it's been a couple of days and the paint is still a little tacky.

out of all the tire covers out there with a smiley face on them they never thought to make a Watchmen cover? That is what I am looking for. Now just settling on a Boston Bruins cover. Maybe an Autobots...

If anyone is a Transformers fan and would like either this or an Autobot logo made, I can get her to make a few of them for a fair price. You can email me at JonniRage@gmail.com.

If you are interested in a Custom Wheel Cover like the one I have pictured above, please check out: WheelaPeel on Etsy

The Autobot one isn't listed, but it's available if you ask for it.

Thanks,
