Fender Trimming

Hey guys, this is my first post here on wrangler forum and i have a few questions i've wanted to ask on fender trimming.

Ok so i currently own a 2005 SE and have been wanting to lift it and put bigger tires on it.
being only sixteen tho i can not afford the $500-$1000 4'' suspension lift kits i have drooled over having, and think im going to have to stick with a 2'' coil spacer.

I have also been concidering shaving my fenders but wonder if it is really worth it. so my questions are..

1. can you really get more clearance by shaving your fenders?
2. by just shavin my fenders and getting a 2'' coil spacer what will my max tire
size be? and will it differ by trimming my fenders?
3. Is their problems with shaving your fenders?

Thanks for the help guys!

1. It's not so much the flares that are the big problem, it's the tire rub on the inside of the fenders that are the problem, but trimming flares would help if you had more backspacing on your wheels
2. With a 2 inch BB, you can run 32 safely (might vary for wheel choice), don't know exactly how much of a difference the flares would make, because of #1
3. No Idea, I've never done it.

Depends on the amount of cash you have.
If you can wait a little longer for the cash to do a 4" lift, then wait.
If your income is a little lacking, like mine, and you think you'll like the look of it, then go ahead.
There are plenty of people who trim their flares or buy flat flares, so it's worth it to some point.

Either way you go, good luck!
