Figuring out Shocks for the LJ Rubi

soooo
ive got me some OME 2.5 lift coil springs and no shocks (intentionally)
right now im running a 2 inch BB with hydro shocks... bought it that way, and its not what i want...

so i was wondering what lenght shocks should i be looking for. i mean, you can search for shocks for a 2.5 inch lift or a 3-4 inch lift but i feel like thats the dumb mans way of choosing the right equipment.
with a 2.5 inch lift what size shocks should i be looking for w/2.5 lift...
ive had my eye on bilsteins 5100's or savvys fox monotube shocks but i do enjoy lots of fast desert racing and dunes and im not sure if im going to need remote resivors or not.

im a big fan of trails and rocks but i dont get the oppertunity to head out to the woods or rocks as much as im hitting the dunes so i need something good on the whoops you encounter in that enviornment.

this is my baby 2"bb aev highline and 35 BFGs
