Finally all Black!!

I finally got rid of my yucky Chrome wheels this week. I put on Black steelies so all 5 tires and wheels match now! They are the soft 8 style ones. Now my TJ is all blacked out like I always wanted. The only chrome left is the lugs, I just need to find Black locking lug nuts. I love the look now! Just thought I'd share in case anyone cares.

When you take the wheels off to put the black lugs on id paint the axle tips with some black paint but first sand it down. Thats what i did with mine and it looks alot better, no need for center caps.

I put black center caps on mine to keep the road crud and salt spray from getting into the front axle nut and rusting it further or worse.

I too will be going with the soft 8 wheels. Except for the interior and hard top being spice, I am loving my black Jeep. I like the all black look!!!

I have crappy lugs anyways, and Ive stripped several of them, so this time when I put them on I just hit them with a coat of black spray paint, along with the axle tips. if you wana be perfect about it, you can newspaper/tape off everything but lugs and tips and paint once they are on. but hey, you cant really tell cheap easy and fast. and most of the time my wheels and stuff are dirty. I like the rugged look and dont want everything perfect. my jeeps like yours, everythings going or is black, except I dont have a black body of course :P

Do you have your tail lights tinted but not your turn/side markers, or are they just tinted lightly?

Thanks for all the comments, and the links to the lugs!! I hate center caps, they just get in the way. I wish someone made just some low profile black caps.

No problem. I have seen others around but can't find them right now. Kinda thought the price was high, but what for a Jeep is not

Looks hot! I'm gonna be doing mine all black soon. Can you see the outlines in the paint where the stickers used to be?

I took all my stickers off except the 4.0 ;]

But i just peeled them off with my nail on a hot summer day and they came off no problem, try to get them in one piece its soo much easier.
And the residue just clean off with some gas on a rag and itll come right off dont use any gimic products gas works the best :]

And no there are no outlines.

And with the stickers I used a blow dryer and a very sharp razor blade. They came off with no lines or residue

Haha, I hate center caps too. Yes I did mine with VHT nightshades too, but I must have done more coats than you because mine are darker :P I actually dont care because my one side marker is cracked so I figure if I ever feel like It Ill just but another set of lenses on ebay. I like how dark they are and havent had a problem with them yet. they shine fine in the dark, still visible so all good and theres practically no police where I live.
