my buddy finally came through for me and made me a set of rocker guards for my TJ!unk: only bad thing is, is that he got caught makin them! lol, so he couldnt powder coat them for me. so tommorow im goin to paint them. can anyone post pics on how the store bought rocker guards go on? we have these things called "riv-nuts" at work i was goin to use. its like a collapsable nut that you put in a hole and it makes the hole permantly threaded. i didnt know if that was a safe way to go or not. thanks for any input
Take a look at the PSC or Shrockworks sites for pics. But as stated above. Countersunk from the outside to a flat washer and nut on the inside of the tub.
thanks for the input guys. i didnt wanna mess with counter sinkin all the holes,(had to drill all the holes myself) so i went to the local hardware store and bought stainless steel button head allen screws. 5/16 coarse thread and went that route. very happy with how they look. its too dark for a pic but i'll take pics tommorow and make sure to post them!
he was makin them at his work and his boss caught him. so his boss said to "get rid of them" so he wasnt able to powder coat them or drill the holes for me
thanks, i already went out and bought the black allen heads right after i took the pics. the only way id keep the ss allen heads is if i decided to buy the street lock steelies
Looks really nice. Hope your buddy gets an extra beer for pissing off his boss!
