Here is pics of how my TJ sits right now. I'm looking to order a winch for it and I am pulling it apart next week to paint it. I have my own paint shop here in Japan and I plan on doing it up in a deep pearl blue with a lighter blue flame design on the hood with a bit of blue and white flake in the flame job. I also will cut up some vinyl and do some stuff on the doors and side and maybe on the hood. I'll update the pics once I'm done. Also trying to plan out some rock guards and a box that will wrap around to the sides of the back seat for storage and speakers. Still in the design stages but after I get it done and installed I post some pics on it. Not sure if I want to use metal or wood on the boxes as of yet. If anyone has any ideas or designs please help.
Oh that's too cool to know you have one in Japan. I'm sure it cost a small fortune to get it there, let alone fuel.
I saw a Jeep in Italy and all I wanted was to trade the crummy little car we were driving for it
It is a 1996 TJ bought here so it's right hand drive. Not sure about the tailgatte. I'll get some inside pics for ya'll soon. Also going offroading tonight but don't think the pics will be to good because of how dark it'll be, but I'll try. If not I get some after I get it painted next weekend. Thank you for the compliments!
I live in Miura, about 1 hr south of Yokohama, but I go out to Osaka a lot to hang out. In fact I bought this Jeep there and it still has the Osaka plates on it. If you ever get up this way let me know and I talk you off roading up Fuji or some where!
Not sure of the maker on the flares but I'll look it up and let you know.
Sorry it took so long but here are the pics of the inside and of a trip I took up Fuji. Sorry about the bad pic but it was around 2am and raining. The truck in the pic is a Mitsubishi Pajero Mini 660cc engine 4wd. Cool little truck with pretty good power but I had to pull him out of the snow a couple of times. Also added some pics of the tail gate and underside.
When I lived in Korea I remember seeing (what looked like) a jeep club heading down the road near Jinhae-gu. I think it might have been US sailors from the navy base, but I'm not sure. All I know is I was DAMN JEALOUS when I was rocking my Daewoo Lacetti (Suzuki Forenza)!
I lived on the island of Geoje-do in Okpo (pretty similar in terrain to Japan) and I remembered taking country drives and drooling at the landscape and the obvious trails. It must be wicked fun man, and having something different and American like that in Asia is a BIG deal I know, so congrats.
