Question Fire Extinguisher Mount / Location ????

Hi everyone New to the forum
I'm looking for a clean spot, to mount a 2.5 Lb Fire Extinguisher
in a 1997 TJ
any pic's or Ideas would be great

how bout on the roll bar center tube facing the rear of the jeep? thats where i was thinking of putting one. it will work with the top on and will look clean with the top off.

Mine is as seen in the below pic. Just used a heavy duty hoseclamp and viola. been there 4 years now.

Some of the worst locations are on the rollbar, head-high... since in an accident a heavy fire extinguishers could fly off and seriously hurt someone.

The best location I have found is in front of the driver's seat like in the below pic. It's out of the way, yet handy if you need it. You could even grab it from the driver's seat if you needed it in a bad situation.

I used a piece of 1/8" steel stock to bolt the extinguisher's spring steel mount to the seat bases. The fire extinguisher snaps into the mount.

I zip tied the wall mount they come with to the roll bar behind the driver's seat, then clamped it into that.

Great load plan. I like it there in case of a rollover. Heavy missiles at roughly head-height sounds like a no-go to me....
