First offroad trip was trouble free

Thanks to all the great info on this forum my first off road trip to Tucson went trouble free. I posted a few pics on the trail forum. I hauled it out in an enclosed car hauler...but due to family issues with the driver of the truck pulling it, I ended up driving all the way back to central Illinois. For anyone who has not done that I suggest never to try it. Imagine a 4 inch lifted rubicon on 33 inch K2 tires from Tucson to Central Illinois. Not fun, but there was no alternative. But I did it without incident.

It's open? I thought it was closed for winter.

We went around one of the gates, and someone had cut the lock( not us) on the other.

Very cool pictures. I went to Mount Lemon when my dad lived in Tuscon. It was long before I knew Arizona was way more diverse than just a desert. I was blown away.

Congrats on your first trail excursion - once you get hooked, your hooked. Nice looking Jeeps, but next time try to get a little dirt and mud on them, ...., at least make it look like you went off-roading.
