Question First Time Buyer

I'm looking at buying a new car this summer or fall. I'm a full time student in college, and I am hoping to save up enough money for a down payment and insurance over the summer. I have my heart set on buying a Wrangler TJ. I'm not big on off-roading or at least I don't plan on testing any limits, and I live in an area where it is winter 6-8 mo. a year. Also, because I am a student gas isn't a big issue, but repairs would be so I'm not looking for a project, or any extra costs to the jeep. Is there any advice anyone can give me on whether or not this is the right buy for me? And any things to avoid when looking at wranglers to purchase.

TJ wranglers are great I've had mine for 8 years an it's been great, mpg is good and parts are cheap for it, I use mine as almost everyday an take it out camping an what not. Buying one is never a wrong thing to do, just do your research on this form for what to look out for.wish you luck.

Because your are in a winter climate, I would say to be very careful checking for rust over the entire Jeep. If possible, you may want to look for one down south. Nothing like having a 14 year old TJ that is rust free.
