Had my TJ for about 3 weeks now. My first wrangler. 4.0 5 speed. I love it! I've done some wheeling a little in the past, 2 tracks, some sand. Today, the wife and I met up with my buddy and his girlfriend at the blessing of the Jeeps in Mesick. ( 15 mins from my house) It was pretty cool. Didn't stay long, just wanted to check out everyone's rigs. Then we headed to twisted trails. We got there early and had the place to ourselves for about 2 hours since everyone was at the blessing. What a blast. My TJ is stock, besides a 2" lift. My bud's is bone stock. That thing went through everything I attempted! I love it! It was super wet out, since we got a ton of rain the past couple days. Lots of deep water and some mud.I like the super tight technical trails there the best.
Our day ended when I got my buddy to ghinea pig a mud hole. We had done a few several times. Basically a steep downgrade into the hole and a good climb out. This one, the mud looked quite a bit thicker. I was right. He tried to straddle the side a little and held good speed going in, but the angle he was at.. the mud pulled him right in. Boom. Stuck. His engine stalled. Wouldn't start up. Full battery power, but solenoid just clicking.
I couldn't yank him out because being stalled his Jeep wasnt helping. Plus I was pulling up hill. A good samaritan stopped and winched him out. Jeep guys are great!
Anyhow I was able push start him. So we just headed out at that point.
I think his starter is packed with mud?
Overall, it was an AWESOME day!
