Flag Pole Mount

ok so yes I know there are other threads about this but I didn't see any that helped. the ones I found were for small little flags that are 17" by like 12". im looking for some ideas on how to mount my 3'x5' flag I ordered today. I work for a plumbing company so I figured I could get some 3/8 or 1/2 galvanized pipe an use that somehow. possibly get a mount with some inside threads so I can screw it in there. what have you done to mount your flag? post up some pics an give me some details. also idk why but my PO didn't buy a regular 2" receiving hitch it's like a 1" one to hold up a bike rack an other light weight stuff. so might use that somehow, any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.

Do you run a spare tire on the back? I'd start there

The smaller hitch receiver is 1 1/4". Some spare tire bike mounts have a plate that goes behind the tire and mounts on the studs, then has something sticking out. Run a piece of square tube out from the receiver and mount a base on top for the bottom of the flag, then make a plate for behind the spare with more square tube welded to it, with a piece of pipe welded on the end big enough to slide your pole through. Running a flag on a vehicle violate the US Flag Code, but it's your flag, so do what you want.

It's usually hose clamped to the RV ladder. But for the 4th of July and Veterans Day, I clamp it on the cargo rack of the Jeep. Could clamp it on the tire carrier too.
What is it?
It's just the lower half of an old patio umbrella pole. Drilled a hole and put a bolt through it about a foot from the top. Holds the house flag.

I saw a guy who got a piece of square tubing the size of his hitch receiver and drilled a hole in it to put a cotter pin through like a hitch. He drilled a hole for the flag pole and welded it to the other end.

Edit: here's the post

Does great on all roads even highways (granted im only doing 60 or 65 with that lift tire and gear combo haha). Its very sturdy. Holds a 3x5 flag
