Flash thunder storm with top down

As I'm sure happens to everyone from time to time, a flash thunderstorm swept over my neighborhood while my 2001 wrangler was parked outside. By the time I ran outside to put everything back on right, everything was soaked inside. The storm dissipated quickly and I towel-dried everything as fast and thoroughly as I could, particuarly the dash, but now I'm just a bit worried if I need to pay attention to any possible damages, maybe to the radio or something? I know it's a jeep and people wade rivers with them, but I just recently got it, and saved up a lot of money to buy it (I go to NYU and am a very poor college student) so I guess I'm a bit nervous. Can anyone offer insight or experiences about possible problems to look out for, or things to pay attention to. Thanks everyone.

Well I had the same sort of thing happen to my Jeep a few times now..but that just relates to the fact that i almost always have my top down and the Jeep being my play toy and all I don't always give it the same treatment as the beamer..soo basically after my CD player stopped working..i really just stopped caring if the inside got wet..not to mention about four years ago i ripped out all the carpets and rhino lined the whole inside of it..A Jeep is meant to get beat up ...all muddy and wet and left that way with no worries.. but def get what you're saying about being a poor college kid..I was in your shoes going on five years ago ..(Damn i'm getting old) but as for worries..umm i'd just manly worry about the head unit..everything else will dry out from my experiences..but of course i own a 01 so those things dont have all the bells and whistles the new jeeps have ...

Yeah my CD Player doesn't appear to be working, but it might work when it dries out. It'll play some CDs fine, then begin skipping and what not, and when you put a dry CD in and then eject it, it comes out wet. So hopefully when the insides dry out it'll work, either that or I'm down a CD player.. sigh.

Send a message via AIM to rebelBullDawg325
for the most part you'll be alright, the audio is probably the only thing you might have problems with.
