Good evening,
So I bought a new flasher relay in hopes it'll fix my blinker problem as a new light wasn't the answer. My problem though is the location of the relay. Where the relay is, behind the hose, my alarm system is mounted. Any ideas on how to go around the system without undoing every wire? Here are a couple pics that show what I mean.
Is the issue because the alarm itself is in the way? Because if that is the case, simply snipping the zip ties on the alarm to move it out of the way and then re-securing it may be your best bet
Also, what year is your TJ? I have an 06 and my flasher relay is located on top of my steering column on the multifunction switch array (right under the top of the clam shell), but I am unfamiliar with how earlier TJ systems are deigned.
Mine's a '00 4.0. I tried taking the top plastic off the steering column, but even without all the screws it was hanging on tight from what seemed like somewherw in the back.
My new issue now though is that the right side blinker light will stay on. Both blinkers work perfectly after the new flasher. But what should I look for? Also, if I remote start the Jeep, only the left side front markers will turn on, not the right side.
Both worked when the alarm and remote start were first put in. Had the alarm and remote for 3 years and both side marker lights would turn on. Just recently, past few months, right side won't light. I unplugged and waited a minute before replugging it back in.
