Question Flat Towing - baseplate ?

Trying to find some options in how to hook up the towbar to my Jeep. I've found a few different baseplate options, some of which claim to not exceed 40mph towing. I want something that will handle freeway speeds.

I am running a custom rectangle stubby bumper, so depending on the width needed I may be able to bolt directly to it.

How are you guys hooking the towbar to your jeeps to flat tow ?

I just received my mounts yesterday. They are Blue Ox universal adapters.

I will either bolt or weld them to my bumper. Water Dog on this forum has them on his TJ. He is where I found out about them. As a matter of fact, here is that thread.

As All Terrain TJ mentioned, I do use the Blue Ox Brackets without any issues. The measurement on the tabs of the original blue ox base plate that I use to have was 24" center to center. When I went to the brackets, I had to reduce that measurement by about an inch because of the shackle mounts welded to the bumper, but it still tows fine.

The tow bar just pins to the brackets.

That might work for me.... Do you have any pics of your setup ?
That would be great to be able to hook up to something already mounted on my bumper and not have to attach something else.

Here is the bumper I am working with.
