Flowmaster 50 Delta Muffler

So I have a 2000 TJ and want to throw on a Flowmaster 50 muffler, but there is no direct cross for this. Does anyone know what part number I will need to order? The 40 series is too loud for me and my neighbors.

I do like the 50 series delta flow. I had a 3" on my old jeep that sat behind the Chevy 350. It does sound nice. It's quiet when you want it quiet and loud when you want it loud.

The way I did it was I looked underneath the Jeep and figured out what position the in and out was in and the exhaust diameter and then went looking on Summits website for one that fit the bill. I can get you a part number if you tell me where your in and out is located.

Nope all I have is a stock muffler right now. Sorry. I am thinking about the Flowmaster 50 delta and putting it on the stock system I have right now or possibly getting the dynomax cat back and throwing away the dynomax muffler since I have heard it is just as quiet as stock.

OK, what your going to need to do is look at your stock muffler and see if the inlet is in the center of the muffler or on one of the sides. Then do the same thing for the outlet of the muffler. It should be 2.25" diameter if it is stock exhaust.

If you can get me that info I can get you a part number.

It is a center inlet and a offset outlet. I noticed with the dynomax cat back that everything made before 1/24/00 is 2.25" & everything after 1/24/00 is 2.5".

Dynomax - Super Turbo Cat-Back - Cat-Back & Turbo Back Exhaust Systems - StreetSideAuto

I pulled the actual part number off the stock muffler, 52019241AE, and it notes that is was used after 1/24/00 as noted from some stock parts sites.

I did not know that in 2000 they changed exhaust size. Ya learn something new everyday.

For a 2.5" exhaust you would need one of these(PN 942552)...

Doc, I have had the Dynomax turbo cat back on my Jeep for a year now. It is a bit louder than stock. Not a lot, but at least now I can tell when the Jeep is running.. The Flowmaster 50's do sound good on a 4.0.. my friend has one and I have exhaust envy... again

I am thinking of getting that cat back setup and then buying a Flowmaster 50 on instead of the Dynomax.

So do 2001-2004 Jeeps have 2.25" or 2.5" mufflers? I am finding conflicting information. Also is this ID or OD?
