The hardest part for me when I installed mine was making the first cut. They are really bright at night. I'm glad i did it. I think those ones will work really well for you. It's nice they have the backup light built into them. Mine do not.

Those are sexy, what brand are they? I absolutely love the look of round LED lights...When I get the guts to touch my tub with a holesaw I may go for it

I'm running the maxxima hybrids on mine. They are a great light and super bright. I ended up getting them because of the built in reverse light. And you will have to drill a 4" hole. They are not flush mount. The reverse light portion of the light acts as a mounting flange and they do stick out a 1/2"

Jeep tried them for a while on their CJs last century. Epic failure. Rust trap waiting to happen.

Well I broke down and did it. I love them. Hardest part was cutting the hole. I bet I stuck the hole saw to it 100 times before I actually cut it. Now im glad I did!

Have you considered the low profile, stock-look units from Savvy?

Jeep983,

I installed them on my 92 YJ. I even added a "third brake light" on my spare tire carrier. I have enclosed a photo. I purchased mine from GenRight... or something like that.

Measure where the inside panels are on the outside, but run the tape measure on the inside. Mark them and then mark your circle. On mine, I used a 4.5 hole cutting saw that I picked up at Lowe's.

Word to the wise: Measure whatever your "pilot shaft drill bit" is on your hole cutter. You will want to use a center punch to punch a dimple at your center point THEN begin drilling a small hole and working up to the pilot shaft drill bit... You may be able to go only two sizes smaller. Just don't drift. Some people had luck and the pilot shaft went right through. On mine, the shaft grabbed the sheet metal and bent the drill bit at a 45degree angle. Now I make sure the center hole is drilled first BEFORE I apply the hole saw to the metal. In this way, you just slide the pilot shaft in the correst hole in the sheet metal and gently, but firmly get your hole going.

Take care,
