fog light question

bought a jeep last weekend (sorry i be a newb) and the fog lights aren't working. Before checking a bunch of stuff i'd like to check the fuse. Anybody know where the most common place to put the fuse it so I can look there first? thanks

Did you pull out on the end of the turn signal lever which is the on-off switch for the fog lights? Otherwise, check the fuse panel behind the glove compartment.

I don't know when the fog light switch was moved to the turn signal stalk but I don't think that's the location for your '98. I figured you had a newer TJ with the multifunction turn signal lever which controls the headlights and fog lights in addition to the turn signals.

Below my AC panel are the rear windshield wiper switch and rear defrost switch.....my turn signal lever has the fog light switch on it.
