Fog light Question???

Hey guys! This may be a noobie question, but I don't think so. I just purchased an '02 Sahara. I purchased it from the second owner and it does not have the factory fog lights as most Saharas do. He said that it didn't have the fog lights when he purchased it.

What's strange though, is that the fog light indicator on the dash stays on constantly? Even when it is shut off and the key is removed???

I have the window sticker and it shows "fog lamps." Isn't the factory switch located next to the ashtray beside the rear wiper switch and rear window defogger switch? If so, mine doesn't have it. It has what appears to be a factory blank cover.

Any help is appreciated!

That's where the switch is on mine and mine is OEM. I have a '97 which had no "fog light indicator on the dash" or window sticker. Strange, he may have yanked them off and didn't want you bugg'n him about them, but who knows.

Thanks guys! So I definitely have a blank cover where the fog light switch must have been at one time. The connector on the factory wiring harness is there. I believe it had fog lights originally and someone removed them.

Anyone know why the indicator light would remain on constantly on the instrument panel? When I put the high beams on, it disappears just as it would if there were fog lights actually working.

I'm going to pull the panel apart tomorrow to see what's behind the blank cover. I hope someone just removed the switch and the lights and left all the wiring between.

Awesome, you are right, it is on the stalk... in order to turn on the fog lights you have to pull outward on the stalk while the headlights are on.

Being the headlights are off and the key is not in the ignition, I find it odd the indicator is still lit. Maybe once I get fog lights connected to the wiring harness the indicator will function properly???

Thanks again for the help!
