Font end shake at 50mph

So I put on a 2.5 Rough Country lift and had no problem....two days later had new 33 duratracs put on and now have shake in stearing wheel at 45-50mph? I even had a new steering stabalizer put on with the lift. HELP

Did you get it aligned after the lift?

A speed sensitive front shake or vibration is nearly always nothing more than a bad tire, an out of balance tire, or a bent wheel. A bad alignment won't cause that type of problem unless your toe-in was off enough to cause unusual wear on the front tires. The toe-in must always be adjusted back to spec after changing your suspension height.

Haven't got the alignment done. I didn't have any problems after the lift with the 31's I had on. Now today I had the new wheels and 33's put on and I have the shake

Once again, that type of speed dependent shake is tire or wheel related... get the tires balanced better. I don't care if they were balanced before, they're not balanced now.

Thanks...I pray it is that simple. The way my luck has gone this year it would be nice if something worked out. I will bring it back tomorrow

My 2000 TJ had the same problem. Between 47 and 57 the front end shook pretty bad. I was due for new tires anyway so I put new tires on and it fixed the problem. Sounds like a tire out of balance or out of round to me.

Discount Tire is usually good but there have been several instances when I had to go back there THREE times to get my tires balanced well enough to solve my speed sensitive vibrations. Tell the store manager they didn't get it right the first time and to have the tire balancer spend a little more time your tires to make sure he gets it right this time.

If they are worth their salt they can also look at the tire as it is spinning on the wheel balancer and see if it is out of round. One set of tires that I put on my old GMC Jimmy had 2 tires out of round and they had to be replaced. The guy who put the tires on didn't notice it, but when I brought it back to have them balanced again the shop manager did it and notice the 2 bad tires.

Definitely get an alignment if you haven't already. I have the same setup but with the 1.25" BL added on
