? for RC 2.5 inch lift owners

I have a couple questions for those who have the 2.5 inch lift from Rough Country on their rigs.

Did you install the rear track bar bracket? If not, did you have any issues?

How many of you had to add a transfer case drop after installing the lift?

Thanks.

I used the bracket as it centered my axle. I also needed a TC drop. I used washers, about 3/4" with new bolts.

I installed the 4 springs and shock and a new steering stabilizer. No need for a TC drop. I did an alignment also. No bracket installed as well.

I am not using the bracket, no t-case drop but I do have a very slight vib the first 3 or 4 seconds of take off. Have a MML on the way to cure that issue.

I ended up having to order the track bar bracket because my rear end shifter over almost an inch. The back would get squirrelly when I would rock the steering wheel back and forth. But it fixed all that. I have some vibes from about 30-45 mph so I'm going to do the homemade TC drop this weekend to see if that will fix it.

Needed both the bracket and the TC Drop. Got them to include both in the kit at no added cost.

No bracket needed or TC drop. I will need about 1" wheel spacers though, tires a little close to the spring perch. Slight vibe at 25-30mph, might opt for a 3/4 TC drop. Rides better on rough country rodes than stock.

I did not need a rear track bar bracket. I did install a 1" MML & BL, and a SYE to account for some high-end vibes.

Ahhh...I see. Would RC still provide customer service (replace parts) buying from any of them? I've heard their CS is pretty good.

Wonder why each Jeep is different? Some need the TC drop, some don't.

I was thinking of buying this kit also, glad i found your thread. I was concerned because i saw a not so kind video on you tube, guy said shocks wore out after 20,000 miles? How long have you guys had yours installed? what size tires? spacers? I have stock rims so i though no bigger than 31 inch tires? I don't want any rubbing
thanks

I have the lift with just the coils and the shocks.

Everything is fine. Drives fine. My alignment is off a bit, but not too noticable.

I used to run a 3" lift with just coils and shocks on my old 07 jk. Wheeled the heck out of it for a year with 0 problems.

But if your going higher than 3" I would prefer the track bars and LCAs But thats just me!

I had an issue of wrong part send, contacted the reseller who contacts RC and a new part was send directly from RC to replace it. I call RC Directly for any questions, but just bother the reseller with issues. So far just the wrong part (sent adjustable front trackbar for a JK instead of bracket for TJ). Not sure why they are all different, but they are LOL

Rubi doesn't need a TC Drop regardless.

Why'd you do a MML with a SYE? Usually it's either MML with BL or SYE.

With all of the above, and UCAs you can put a high clearance skid plate on tummy tuck

I'd order the adjustable rear track bar and not use the bracket if it were me. The bracket is a bandaid IMO.

I'd recommend to anyone doing a lift to get one with adjustable upper and lower control arms and adjustable front and rear track bars. That way if you decide to go a tad higher on your lift later on all you have to do is dial in your lift components for the longer springs / shocks.

If you call RC ask for Ryan... Super nice guy and excellent customer service.

I'll be purchasing the lift really soon. I'm excited! Fingers crossed that I'll be one of the lucky ones that doesn't need the TC drop. I kinda hate to loose the clearance. I'll post pics when it's done.
