The first time I ran 35s and I mean literally the first trail I bent the axel in my Dana 44, chewed through a entire spider gear, and bent the drive shaft. But I didn't affect my Dana 30 one single bit.
Since then I have upgraded gears, axel shafts (only for the 44) put an arb in the but and and LSD up front. And bought a new driveshaft with a slip yoke eliminator (sye)
Do it right the first time and get Axel shafts and new gears so you don't destroy them.
Also with 35s your gonna need to look at a sye because the angle of the drive shaft will be off with that large of a tire. Which is why I bent mine. If I knew all this before hand I would have saved hundreds and buying a new driveshaft....
But to learn you have to experience.
