Ford 88 to tj

Finally found a ford 8.8 rear end for my tj.
Where can I find the bracket kit for it? And what else will I need, brake lines ext.
Also it has 355's in it so i need to regear it to 410. And I may as well put a locker in it, any suggestions would be great. Thanks

East coast gear supply has 8.8 to TJ brackets for around $250.

Also check out Artec Industries they make a kit that incorporates a truss.

I bought my 8.8 assembled from ECGS but if I was setting it up myself I would have went with the Artec truss. Its a few bucks more than some of the other kits but I think the truss is worth the extra money. Supposedly it is easier to set up, once you tack the truss together the bracket index off the truss.

The Artec truss is fantastic. Easy to set up and top notch quality.

Ok, I've been working on my 8.8 taking off brackets pulled out ring and pinion and then pulled axles. I thought these axles were 31 spline but I counted 10 different times and they are coming up to 33 splines. Is there a 33 spline axle or am I looking at this wrong.

I know there are 28 and 33 spline versions, but haven't heard of a 33 spline on an explorer axle. It's not a bad thing though. Just be aware of it if you ever need new shafts/upgrade.

Well I was getting ready to order new carrier and gears with limited slip. Does the carrier need to work with 33 spline
