found a hole - Jeep Wrangler Forum

found a hole

i removed the plastic piece that runs behind the fender flares on my jeep because they just looked out of place to me. i found a hole in the tub on both side and cant figure out its purpose. i have saw jeeps with out the plastic piece and there isnt a hole there. any body have an answer? i posted a pic of what i removed but ont have one of the hole right now. i plan on closing it up sometime soon

I don't know what it's for but my 03 has the same thing. I've tried to think of several scenarios and came up with nothing.

standard body hole... as I recall ,and this is very fuzzy.. used on the jeep line to lift of the body...

I did the same thing...same hole. So, I put the stupid little flare extention back on until I bought rocker guards.

And...that's a fine looking Jeep you have there!

I tore the passenger side extension and ran without both for a year, had the hole filled in when I had the TJ repainted.
