Found a plastic piece in fuel tank ?

I found a long bowl looking plastic piece floating in the fuel tank what is it or do I need it.I was changing out fuel pump when I found it.

Its the whole plastic piece.It was suppose to be welded to the bottom of tank for the fuel pump...In a 1991 yj.I know I put it under tj I clicked on wrong the one.

The whole big tray.....Was floating in the tank...
