Frameless soft top

Hopefully by the end of this weekend I will have purchased a rampage frameless sailcloth soft top!

If I have a factory soft top do I really need to purchase a tailgate bar or does the OEM one work?

I just put one on this week, factory tailgate bar is fine but you need a different windshield header

Somebody posted a link to emergency top that could be quickly put on and tied down on the road if needed. Been looking for it.

I just put my rampage on. Not that hard but check out the YouTube video for it, some good tips and hints as to put it on. The OEM tail gate bar does work and you do need a header. I also had to purchase the plastic side things that hook on to the rollbars. After you put it on,leave it on in the sun so it starts to mold to your rig. I know it sucks having the top on when it is warm and sunny but after it molds then it is much easier to put it on the next time. First time took me about 45 mins now I can do it in ten.

Any bikini top header will work, if you have a factory hard top you will need, a header, tailgate bar and door surrounds

I've given my review a few times before on here so I'll repost the link

http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/ramp...tml#post824705

Overally, I'm satisfied with my frameless top. I've owned it for over a year, and there's things I really like and things I really dont like. When everything is on it, I love the way the top looks. The fastback style is slick and I've gotten a lot of compliments. It's also relatively quiet and keeps the heat in. What I hate about it is how difficult breaking the top down is. If you're someone who likes to frequently put their top down, this isn't for you. It doesn't fold down like a traditional top. You literally have to remove everything, and installing it is no easy task. Since I've installed mine, I've taken the top off a total of maybe three times. I usually just remove the windows and ride it as a bimini top.

Hi all just reading through thread, I have a Softopper soft top TJ02 model Softopper - Pickup Truck Toppers, Camper Shells & Caps - Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Dodge & More because I already had the plastic door surrounds. Would be keen to hear if anyone else has this top .Personally I highly recommend it,it is my dedicated everyday top.In New Zealand we get all 4 seasons in one day some times and it stands up quite well, only thing I would say is a bit of a pain is dropplets of water form on the roof and when you open the door water drips inside the cab, but it's only water aye. Some pics of mine with Softopper TJ02 Top

factory tailgate bar works fine but the windshield header will need to be replaced with the Rampage version.

Bestop makes one, and also. Just so everyone knows, bestops drill-less header bar works as well.

There are several replacements. Bestop is a common one.
