Frameless Soft Top

I have fallen in love with Viking Offroad's Fast Back Top. I was wondering if anyone else shares my opinion? http://vikingoffroad.com/viking_fastback.html

I'm with ya on that top. They just started shipping them last week. Everyone I've spoken to (online) seems really pleased with the quality of them. I haven't seen one in person yet but I'd like to see for myself.

It really seems like the perfect top for me with the way it functions. Hopefully after I get a few other projects knocked out I'll be able to get one on my rig.

bigjeep, that is EXACTLY what I'd get if I were you. It's a soft top and a full bikini top all in one.

holy smokes, it is?! i didn't read anything about it. i just looked at the pictures. its not much more expensive than a normal softop so i should definitely get that. i'm gonna search that site some more and see if there is anything else i would need to buy to go with it or if that includes everything. that thing looks sweet too. i'd be the only one in my city with one of those. that will be a nice compliment to my jeep.

All you need is a Bestop windshield channel. If you look on their site there are more pics of the top folded up into the storage pocket.

Oooh, I want one too! I need a soft top for the summer months and that would be perfect.

i gotta have a soft top anyway. its so much easier to take off (down) than my hard top. i'm not drivin in the rain with the top off and since i have a hard top i can't go out when it rains because its so difficult to get the hard top on. so im gettin the softy for the summer and leave it down except when it rains i can flip it up much faster and easier.

Well everyone can't be hard core like you.

When it's 20 degrees outside, I'm riding with a top. Being cool isn't having snot frozen to your nose and tears streaming down the side of your face. 20 degrees = top.

(I crack myself up)

BTW & FWIW - We did run Palo Duro last year with just a bikini top. Not a full bikini either. It rained the whole time we were there, hailed twice and it never got above 55(ish) degrees. The guy in the back was bailing (sp?) water out the whole time with a red dixie cup. I'm sure jeeptales has a few pics of that somewhere.

I'm running my top this time of year, but I wouldn't invest in a new one. Stays laying in the weeds too much.

I saw the proto-type in Moab last May, and I was very impressed with it. I just can't believe that they have taken this long to start shipping them. It is by far, the handiest, easiest top to have. You can go from hot, and opened, to closed up against t-storms, and other inclement weather. I had a regular safari top on in CO, in Sept. and got mud and rain all inside our Rubicon. Not fun to clean up all that mess.
