I have the bestop trektop. It looks great, I think even better than the rampage one. But it leaks around the doors in heavy rain and only the rear window comes put.

I have the softopper on my 05 lj and love it. Comes with everything needed for install, sailcloth material, all 3 windows are removable, storage area for windows built into the roof. I can post a few pics after work tommorrow if anyone is interested. Obviously the top in my avitar is the stock Sunrider.

I've got the Bestop trek top, there are a few things I definitely don't like the fact that it doesn't use the factory door surrounds, and the reduced visibility through the rear window, it can be a pain switching from the bestop surrounds back to the stock surrounds just to put my bestop bikini top on. When this top starts wearing out, I'll definitely be looking into one of the rampage ones.

Can you guys who own bestops take only the top of like a sunrider or the newer jk trektop? Or you only can take the sides off? And when you ment you can use the factory surrounds you mean you cant use other bestop products? So if i have a trekrop and full doors i cant use the same door surroinds for their sunrider? Sorry for the hijack.

Be sure to check the vendor forum for a special on these right now. FYI, the Rampage top comes in a regular and sailcloth version.

I'm not trying to be rude, but I'm not quite sure what you are asking. I think it may be due to the fact I am on day 9 of a 14 day work week.

I cannot take just the top of my treck top off like the JK model, I cannot take the sides off.

The model of trektop I currently have uses the bestop surrounds. Whereas the Bikini top I have uses the factory surrounds. So my Bikini top is not compatible with the bestop surrounds that work with the trek top. I'm not sure on the sunrider thing.

As to the original post I was just on the bestop website and it looks like they just came out with a new version of the trektop that has similar features to the Rampage top. I still think I would prefer the rampage top to the new bestop top since it offers storage for the windows when they are not installed. here is a link to the new style trektop.

That was the old Trektop where the windows did not come off. Go to the Bestop site. There is a new Trektop NX.

Trektop NX
Bestop's New, Vastly Improved Bowless top: The Trektop NX features removable windows, factory style-door surrounds, Sunrider Sunroof Features, and factory-style header bar.

I bought the trektop one last year and once I put it on and saw how crappy the door surrounds looked and how hard it is to put on and off I returned to on the same day.

I am defiantly going for the rampage sailcloth for my 06 unlimited.

Yea I was thinking of that rampage/ Viking top you have or that Softtopper. That bestop nx looks great but bestop isnt high quality My bikini top ripped the first year I bought it. I was leaning towards the softopper cause it looks well made.

Their are plenty of reviews on this site about the rampage frameless top for anyone looking to buy one. I've heard some on the softopper but not enough to tell the quality of the product.

I just bought a rampage top and will be installing it next weekend. I bought it because it has plenty of positive reviews, and i've read that anyone that has had issues received great customer service and they fixed the problem quickly.

Thanks! I built that tire carrier myself. It is holding a 35x12.50 BFG KM2. I have a thread on the build somewhere on here.
