Good day to fellow jeepers!
I got a 06 wrangler that seems to be wasted..
I live in Dubai, so the first owner probably abused it in the desert!
I've had it for 3 months now.
So far, I've gotten all sort of noise in it.
A very shaky start and breaking and cracking sounds from the hood between speeds 0-30 kmh, I'm guessing front axle?
Gets shaky around 80 kmh, but not as shaky as the death wobble that i heard about. At 100 kmh and above, violent wind sounds are heard from beneath the car, like a tornado going through a small hole, that last bit is very recent it started happening just yesterday.
I'm scared that it will completely break down if I don't do something about these issues.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!

Just a side note. I'm not very fluent in car parts phrases. I jus know the very basic part names, so take it easy on me :P

Thank you for your time

Regards!

Shakey start up , I would be checking engine mounts for starters, and shakey around 80kmh I would check (or get someone to) the front axle/drive shaft , could be worn u joints etc good luck

If you hear these cracking sounds when you first start moving, check your u joints in both drive shafts and the front axle. Changing them is easy. Check this forum for tips on how to do this. If you need to change axle joints you might as well change the bearings at the same time.

As for the "Shaky" issues... it could be cured by changing the u joints, or could be other suspension problems.

Is the jeep lifted?

Hey 269jeep, thanks for your reply.
As I said, it's in stock meaning its not lifted. I'll check the u joints if you think that's the problem, though where can I find them?
And anything on that 100 kmh+ problem I mentioned?

I think I would try the u joints and check the tires they could be out of round , out of balance or the belts could be slipping ?
Rotate the tires front to back and see if it changes the shake check air pressure . 28lbs is good on the road .
The u joints are inside the front axle between the shock /spring mount and the breaks .
if you jack the front wheel and spin it front to back you could see the u joints move .

Apparently the tires are so misaligned that it's causing most of these problems, they're all out of balance from each other
And the front axle needs some grease.
