Front axle help! Where can I get this part? What is it even called?a

I need the part on the front axle that the coil spring sits on. I figured it would be a spring perch but when I searched for that, all I came up with is parts for a YJ. I am missing this on my Jeep so obviously I need to find one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It has been bugging me for months and I have finally just gotten irritated enough to post it in here asking for help. I have thought of fabricating one myself but I don't even know what it is supposed to look like. If somebody wanted to post up pics of what it looks like on theirs or if they have any info at all, that would be great!

Sorry, this isn't going to be any help but how on earth did you lose a spring perch?

bought it salvage is the simplest explanation...their is a coil spring in there that sits on the front axle, and the coil spring goes around some metal protrusion from the front axle, and there is what I would call a jerry rigged coil spacer to make it as tall as the other side. see pic for jerry rigged side..

Coil bucket maybe? You are definitely missing the seat. Ahhh that's what I think it is. The coil spring seat.

If you can find them Rubcion express sells after market one that might work (shut down right now) , I think terra flex also sells aftermarket one... maybe northridge4x4 one of our vendor on here might have them.

can anybody post a pic of how your front coil spring sits on the front axle for comparison? I was looking at a TJ today and it didn't quite look right either...but it did have 8" of lift so Idk if they would have changed that or what. So, I would love some pics

Yes have to cut and weld the biggest thing is they have to be set at the same position and angle as the stock are now .
everything should bolt back all your doing is changing the perch .
There are a few places that make the replacement perch off hand Rustys offroad makes them too I like the ballistics they are made better .

Alright thank you for the help. Also, do you know what would be the best way to make sure they are at the same angle as stock?

use a magnetic angle finder set to same angle.

You can find one for about 6 bucks at harbor freight

Alright thanks for the tip. Should I use a cutting torch or a grinder maybe? I don't want to damage the axle.

I'd use a grinder. Less chance of burning chunks of the axle tube out.
