Front bumper review?

I'm looking to get the SRC bumper from smitty cause I love the look. Anyone know anything about them? Cheapest place for them or anything else that has the same look for cheaper?

Thanks

Be prepared for some mixed reviews here on Smittybilt. (bad welds, poss. rust, fitment issues) But others who rave about the bumper with no issues.

$219 shipped here:

SRC Front Bumper for 87-06 Jeep Wrangler YJ & TJ by Smittybilt

dont listen to anybody who does not own any smittybilt products because all they do is spread bad rumors about smittybilt. Great bumper btw I love my smittybilt stinger.

LOL. I would love to put your bumper in a test against my Rokmen and compare quality.

Did I say it was any better than another company like rokmen? I dont believe so? but yeah rokmen is better quality but you have to pay the price which is kinda high for something that just sits on the front of the jeep for looks. What I ment to say was that smittybilt is not as bad as people make it out to be. If you gave me $500 for a rokmen bumper I would be all over it but im not rich.. Js

Well when you say its high quality, i ssume you mean it actually competes with the high dollar stuff. If you bought it for looks, then you wouldn't have bought smitty. IMO when i see someone with a smitty bumper i just think they are a person who couldn't wait a few months to save up for a nicer bumper . The "im not rich" excuse doesn't stop me from buying the best stuff out there. Sure I could have my jeep rolling on 35's right now. But it would totally suck.

Sorry.

Passed a stock TJ Rubicon on the trail in GWNF two weeks ago that was sporting a Smittybilt tube just like your link. Left side upper horizontal was broken *exactly* at the weld to the riser, full left side was pushed back which would explain the dimpled front grill and broken signal light.

I ran into an 8" tree with my GroundPounder fab front stubby while scrabbling in 4-Lo a few months ago. Bounced back six inches, tires got another grip, and I went by. Damage: rubbed my rattle-can tubliner paint

Dude, China made stuff.. It's not rumors, they are facts. You can't compare the quality of (good) US manufacturers (as there are a few that also make junk) to Smittybilts copies. Don't even think the Smittybilt stinger will hold your Jeep.

The price difference between quality stuff and the Smittybilt isn't that much.
