front diff damage help!!!

My friend came by and asked for my help but im lost.
On the front dif one of the bars (trac,
stab, sway) is smashing into it. If its the trac its ok to take off correct? Any help is appreciated!

Usually it is the track bar that makes contact with the diff cover. Commonly caused by aftermarket front diff covers, aftermarket track bars without the correct bend, lack of proper bump stops to keep the parts from making contact, or a combination of all those things.

No, it is absolutely not ok to run without a track bar, and it is not ok to leave it that way. One good bump too many while you are traveling down the road could break the track bar and the Jeep will lose control.

Is it stock? Can you post some more pics? Include pics of the bumpstops inside the springs.

Absolutely do no take the track bar off. That can literally be catastrophic. Mine came undone due to a striped bolt and it was terrifying. No useful steering to speak of. And it should be addressed quickly. Longer bumpstops would be a good temporary fix until you can figure out what is causing it to bind on the diff.

what lower control arms are installed? how much lift? has a new hole been drilled in the axle side track bar mount? have you measured to see if the axle is centered? any evidence of the track bar being bent?

Its 100% stock.
He thinks there could.be some.frame damage from preveious owner, but nothing was hitting the diff before
