Trying to correct some DW on my TJ, I had my alignment checked. It all looked good according to the tech. So, I paid him off and continued to look elsewhere for the DW problem.
Yesterday, while laying under the Jeep as my wife moved the steering wheel back and forth, I noticed a couple of cm side-to-side play on the frame end of my Track Bar. This sort of surprised me since it was so obvious now ... but there was enough movement there that I plan to replace that track bar.
Question: With such a minor correction provided by a new track bar, why would a whole new alignment be necessary? The manual says to check alignment anytime a new track bar is installed.
