Hey Trip88:wavey:, not trying to rub it in  but seriously, I know where you can get your FT lift in record time! (and for about $75 less) I was trying to tell you before that Northridge had them ready to deliver but nobody believed me:doh:. Call David, he'll hook you up. I just ordered mine yesterday - see belowunk:

Yes, I've had good luck with them too. And since 4WP has bought them out, I can pickup their stuff at the local 4WP. However, 4WD, 4WP, QT, the local shops, etc...none of them have the FT lift and all say it's on back order. Everybody but NR that is.
Damn bro you have to start listening. Customer service at FT sucks. That's the first thing they teach you in "Modding A Jeep 101". There's nothing wrong with the kit just the customer service. That's why you buy it through a dealer. If you buy it through a dealer and you have problems then you deal with the dealer as they already have a relationship with the manufacturer.
Think of it like this: If you wanted an Nth Mobility lift and you bought it directly from Nth you'd be S.O.L. right now. If you bought it from a dealer then you may have some recourse to get your money back. In other words the dealer will be there to take care of you where the manufacturer might not.
If you want a kit with problems then pull the trigger on that Rough Country.
I have no personal experience with RC, only what I've heard. I was mainly echoing scouts comment on customer service expectations direct from a mfg as opposed to the retailer who specializes in cs.
I think there's a couple of jeeps on here w/RC lifts that seemed to be pleased w/them.???
Oh I understood that part. I'm just wondering about RC. I've been told the best lifts out there are Rubicon Express and Rock Krawler. But I think it's mostly opinion.
Just about any offroad shop I tt or visit, they only want to cram the RE down my throat. I've never heard one single bad word about RE, I just got beaten down with everybody pushing it so hard. Made me wonder if they had bigger margins on them or something. But, I've never heard more good things about a lift than the RE. Hopefully the FT will serve me well w/few problems. Good thing is they have a SA and LA upgrade kit for later.
88 don't listen to rip, hes just talkin cause hes excited about his lift. I really don't blame him cause when I get mine thats all ya'll gonna be hearin about :flipoff:
I am not sure about the smaller lifts, but I am running the 6" Full Traction kit, and have had zero problems with springs sagging, or anything else with the kit. The kit has been on for 3 Wheeling seasons now and no issues!
I'm one of those people that have a 4 in. rough country lift I bought of e-bay for 429.00, It has been on my jeep for 2yrs and I haven't had any problems with it for the most part. It had all the same stuff other kits did, but cheaper(lower control arms, pitman, front rear trackbar relocation brackets, coils, shocks, t-case drop.,brake line relocation braackets.) It was built pretty strong the control arms are thick tubing and the t-case drop is made frome solid bars, plus the rear coils are made stronger to deal with sag issues some other kits didn't address.
I did install it myself with my cousins help. I did weld the rear trackbar relocation bracket on instead of bolting it on to save me a lot of time and a pain in the a$$ after reading the instructions. Only took about 5 hrs to install the whole thing and gave me 4.5 in. of lift when measured.
Only thing I would change on the kit itself is include a spacer/sleeve for the bolt(where track bar was originally) on the front track bar relocation bracket. The bracket would flex in the gap left where the track bar sat original and the bolt would loosen up. I haven't seen any kit that includes one with the front track bar relocation bracket for some reason. I decide to make my own spacer/sleeve out of steel tubing and haven't had a problem since.
All in all I think it was a great kit for the money and my brother and cousin liked it so much the bought them for their jeeps
I have the Full Traction 3" kit, been running it for about 6 months now, I have been off road about 6-8 times and love the kit. No issues. I also have a 1" body lift that I installed at the same time.
I did not have to drop my transfer case, it is still in the stock position. I also did the 1" MML so that might be the reason why I did not have to drop my transfer case. Now I do have all intentions of getting an SYE / CV set up. That is my next mod.
Any questions about how to install the full traction kit or how it preforms, just ask me.
Good info Taz. Thanks. I have good experience with all other elements of doing the lift w/exception of replacing front tbar and rear relo brkt. I may come callin in a couple of weeks for some tips. If you think of any of those "wish I would have known" or "wish I would've thought of that" issues, please share. Thanks again.
