Fuel Economy

First off, I realize that I'm driving a wrangler and know that if I want good gas mileage I should drive almost anything else. That being said...

I have a 2003 Automatic Rubicon that gets 17-19 mpg, Much better than my old 2001 Sport that got around 13-14. I'm interested in getting my jeep out of stock form and going a little bigger but I don't want to have my fuel economy drop down to what my old jeep was.

My question is for those that have similar setups; can gas mileage be sustained? I know that mpgs will drop a little and I'm ok with that. I'm hoping to run 285/75 R16s on a 2 inch coil spacer and stay north of 16mpg.

Thank you in advance.

If you move to 33" tires, be prepared to take a decent hit on the mpgs. If geared appropriately, you shouldn't take a hit on mpgs.
