Fuel problems

I am having fuel problems it's been missing once I get around 1/4 of a tank but know isn't wanting to run with half a tank I've ran several tanks of premium and uses fuel treatment two or three times is there something else I can do without droppin the tank to change the fuel filter it's a 03 6 cyl Tj thanks

Sorry but it sounds like that is your next step. I've seen where the pump breaks loose from the sender, and swings around, it could be hung up to where it now runs out of fuel when the tank gets below 1/2...............

Ya had to get it towed to friends about a 1/4 mile it stopped running and my transmission light came on in the process j

Dropping the tank is not bad. It only takes about 30 minutes if the bolts are not rusted.

Well after having it pulled to a friends house he and his wife drove it all yesterday with no problem he came picked me up and I was bringing him home died again had to get it towed twice after it set a while some friends drove a while in it no problems Wth

Hmm, chance that something is in the tank and on occasion being sucked up against the fuel sock? Let it sit, suction drops, item falls free and off you go till it does it again.

Had a customer's truck exhibit similar conditions, his at times would have no power, would stall and not restart, let it sit for a while and it would run fine.

Finally dropped the fuel tank. Found in it a white plastic coated disc. Was the seal for a bottle of dry gas. Just every so often it would get sucked up against the fuel sock and either partially or totally block off the flow.
