fuel pump or filter needs changed how hard?

Hello all,I need to know how hard it is to drop the gas tank and replace the filter or pump. Is it something that is fairly ez or should I put it in the shop .This is my 1st jeep , just pickid it up Friday but it runs like crap because the previous owner went muddind and lost his cap and mud went into the gas tank.

I hope he somehow accidentally lost his cap while mudding, and not that he lost his cap before, but was too cheap to replace it.

It is pretty simple...Go for it. You will definetly get more satisfaction out of doing it yourself...not to mention save money!
