Fuel Pump Replacement

So my fuel pump ended up being shot, got an estimate where I had the jeep towed and he says it should run about $420 after installation. Just wanted to know if that sounds about right? Also I have access to a lift, but have never dropped a gas tank and messed with the fuel pump, is this something I could tackle?

easy as pie.
remove tank skid and retaining straps and the tank will fall right out (so make sure its held up in some manner). Fuel pump will be right on top. Unhook electrical, pop out retaining ring, lift it right out. I'll do some digging for an actual writeup and hopefully with pictures so you can get a better idea for this.

Dude don't waist your money on a mechanic. It's easy shit no doubt. There's six or 7 screws that hold the tank use a jack to hold up your tank. Once done disconnect the only two lines on top of your tank n wala. It's a thirty minute job to take down. Also you might wanna unscrew the part on top were the gas cap is at so that will come down with your tank.
