Full Door Rust repairable?

Hey WF. I'm going to attach two pics showing rust on my driver side door. It's a full door and the damage is more than rust, it's cracking where the window frame meets the door body. I'm a very new Jeep owner, but this seems like a pretty weak point and I figured peeps would have experienced this and dealt with it.

My plan is to cross my fingers and hope it doesn't snap off until warmer weather when I can ride without the doors. Then I'd do all the prep work of removing glass, removing rubber, removing paint from the area and having someone weld these breaks, then getting it touch up painted to match. Seems like a good plan to me. Anyone with experience at this type of repair, I'd love to hear from you.

I did a few searches within the TJ forum for this issue using terms including 'rust' and 'door' but didn't find anything. If this shouldn't be a new thread, I apologize and ask you kindly point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Front side of door (nearest hood)

Back side of door (just above door handle)

Its a Jeep problem in general not just a TJ. Best thing to do is what you said already....weld it

Its kinda hard to tell how big that rust blister really is but I would think it will be fine until then...lets face it the damage is already done.
