Full doors from a '97 TJ won't fit my '01

So I found a set of full doors from a 1997 TJ that I wanted to put on my 2001 TJ but the door does not line up with the latch post on my door frame. The door itself fits in the door frame perfectly but that "U" shaped post bolted to the door frame which the door lock latches to does not line up. Has anyone ever experienced this? Do I need to remove the post and relocate it so it lines up (it doesn't have to lower much so I am worried drilling new holes will be too close to the exsisting ones) or is there a replacement one I can get that will use the pre-exsisting holes with just a lower post? When the door is lowered into the hinges the lock "slot" on the door is below the post on my door frame but raising it in the hinges will not allow the door itself to line up in the door frame. Please help!!

Loosen bolts, slide braket down, tighten bolts. Should take care of it...

x2..Those door hinges are adjustable, just don't mess with the tub side because you want your old doors to be interchangeable.

The latch uses a size 50 Torx. Loosen the bolts and line it up.

Whatever you do, don't loosen & adjust the hinge bolts on the tub side of the hinge, only adjust the new door's hinge plate and/or latch mechanism. Otherwise the OE half-doors will no longer fit.

I dont wont to move the hinge mounts though...as I said the door lines up properly in the door frame with the hinges where they are. Alignment between the door and the tub is perfect...the door locking latch bolt on the tub sits slightly higher than the reciever on the door. Also I dont think i can just loosen the bolts and slide this bracket down as it is not adjustable like the YJ was. I am not concerned with the half doors because i traded them for the full doors.

It is adjustable. Get a 50 Torx and loosen it. There are 2 Torx head bolts!!
