Full doors lock troubles

Someone tried to break into the Jeep by smashing in the lock. Now when someone needs to get into my passenger door, I can either use the key to unlock it from the outside, or I have to hold the inside unlock button while they open from the outside. Has anyone had this? Any idea how to fix it?

Thanks!

open up the door panel and fix the bent rod.
